Tuesday, November 23, 2010 7:45 AM, CST This is going to be a brief post as I am doing this on my phone but we wanted to update everyone as soon as we could. Nate has not been comfortable for several days now and on Sunday night things took a turn for the worse. We came to London Monday morning and an MRI confirmed what we already knew in our hearts. The cancer has spread again and we are out of options for our warrior. As with his other tumours things are happening alarmingly fast and we do not have much time left with our little super hero. Nate is being kept comfortable in the hospital while the team works on the logistics of getting us home so he can be where he belongs and hopefully this can happen quickly. Our hearts are breaking with this news but it hurts us even more watching our little boy suffer. Please pray for Nate. www.caringbridge.org Song my Jeremy Camp Video by John N Gavin jngavin@aol.com

Notice my tone. This is not my normal demeanor nor is it the same loving presence that my students experience in the classroom. I am not using persuasive arguments and charm to try and win you over. The goal of this video is not to evangelize Catholic Educators. The goal of this video is to fulfill my moral obligation to: 1) Admonish sinners 2) Instruct the ignorant 3) Counsel the doubtful… If my tone seems harsh its only because the changes necessary in so many Catholic Schools can’t wait a decade to change. Souls are at stake now. Naturally those to whom this is directed will take issue with me and I will be blessed to 4) Bear wrongs patiently 5) Forgive injuries 6) Pray for the living and the dead… who lead so many souls astray by what they do and what they have failed to do… nb: Please pray for me too, because I am a sinner… sadly a punk like me has to speak out, because nobody else will. If the message is lost, because of the messenger… sorry the Lord is having difficulty finding people willing to speak up.

May God bless your little Nate. We too are going through the trials of childhood cancer with our little Minah. My sister’s youngest son has neuroblastoma and he is terminal. The best they can hope for right now is to just slow down the growth of his tumors. He has tumors in his lungs, kidneys, hip bones, leg bones, spine, and shoulder blades. We certainly understand how difficult having a sick child can be and will keep little Nate in our prayers. God bless you and little Nate.

@kolbe1019 Type this above on You Tube: Father Malachi Martin Admits To Vatican’s Knowing Of Planet X Nibiru’s Return the bible refers to this as Wormwood & many ancients call it the destroyer or Nemesis
Father Malachi Martin was a well know priest who worked closely with all the popes dealing with exorcism he also claimed to have read the third secret of Fatima & warns us about the dangers of freemasonry & a New World Order

Great video. We are fortunate to have almost daily Mass at the school where I teach, Aquinas Academy of Pittsburgh. We have weekly confessions also. Here’s another dimension to explore: Sin darkens the intellect. Not only should we offer the Sacraments for their life of virtue and holiness, but also to enlighten the mind. We have the Highest SAT scores in SW Pennsylvania.

@rt2788 Yeah–but what are they going to get in the PUBLIC schools?

You are exactly right. Most churches offer confession once per week for a half hour. When I was grade school, we went to mass once a week and confession twice per year. Never once did we go to adoration.

I agree!!! Is it bad to say that I would never send my children to Catholic schools? My girlfriend argues that we should but with all these catholic school teaching you almost nothing to what the true and beauty the Church is.

@scottishlowoflow I second scottishlowflow – I went to the same Catholic school, and I was the ONLY pupil in the whole school who went to the weekly mass every week, at which only a handful of teachers attended. Definitely what you call a CINO (Catholic in name only) school. Everything I know about Catholicism I know despite of my attendance at a Catholic school.

I went to Catholic school from 4-18, during that time we had 2 Masses & less than 10 Confessions. They taught us enough to get us through Communion & Confirmation, but little else about our Faith. Our religion teachers in secondary school, spent most of the time showing movies from the local video rental shop. They taught sex ed. at 14 & at 17 they brought in an American protestant group to teach us about chastity. But by that stage I had no respect for the Church & didn’t care. I wish they had cared

Catholic schools are public schools with a weekly (or less frequent) Mass. I read a story in my son’s fourth grade reading book about a girl who skipped out of school at lunch time, then prayed to her false god not to be caught, and got what she prayed for, with no comment on the fact that she had done something wrong. This is the type of thing your child is getting in Catholic school, these days. Don’t even get me started on sex ed, which starts in elementary school. Wake up, people.

I agree w/ track uniform reform. We need longer shorts!!! (for both guys and girls). And I strongly agree w/ the cheerleader comments.
I also wish that there could be some music reform. I like rap music, but I hate it when I have to listen to all that sex talk and crap. It really kills the music.

As a fellow Catholic teacher, I see a serious problem that exists in our schools. Your solutions are practical and necessary in order to maintain the Faith. God Bless!
